Sales consultant




Misura is growing company and to further cement our foothold in the market, we are looking for an addition to our team at our Sydney showroom which we have moved to in 2016 on the busy Bourke St nestled perfectly between the design hubs of Danks St and Alexandria,

Reporting to the Showroom Manager, the Sales Consultant is responsible for a broad scope of activities relating to lead generation and the closing of sales. The sales consultant will be a self-driven, motivated and reliable individual who will be able to effectively liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to deliver on targets.

Job tasks and responsibilities
This role requires the Sales Consultant to be on the front line and the successful candidate will need to familarise themselves with our products, policies and strategies. Key duties are inclusive of, but are not limited to:

  • General duties relating to the daily operation of the showroom
  • Working closely with the Showroom Manager to develop strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Driving sales and implementing cross-selling techniques to achieve targets
  • Undertaking frequent training to acquire in-depth knowledge of our products
  • Liaising with the Showroom Manager to ensure that personal targets are being achieved


  • Creating and maintaining relationships with clients through follow up emails and notifying them of new products/launches
  • Following through on all leads to ensure all sales opportunities are effectively pursued
  • Engaging and answering sales enquiries in a timely and professional manner either via telephone, online or through showroom enquiries
  • Continually develop a comprehensive understanding of the processes and procedures of the showroom
  • Ensure that the showroom is maintained to the highest standard
  • Negotiating and closing sales efficiently and professionally
  • Reviewing sales performance and trends and aiming to meet or exceed targets


  • To be considered for this role, a minimum of 2 years of experience in the design/furniture industry is required
    Weekend work will be required
  • Strong selling and negotiating skills
  • Experience in the furniture or design industry would be advantageous to this role
  • Resourcefulness with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills that encompass good persuasive and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate skills in the use of Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong organisational skills and capabilities to multi-task and effectively achieve team objectives
  • Ability to work in a small team environment
  • High proficiency in client engagement and strong capabilities in maintaining strong professional relationships
  • Ability to represent Misura to network and liaise with industry stakeholders to create new leads
  • Basic knowledge of an accounting CRM program
