Poco Designs is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join their growing team. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a boutique design studio that creates unique and luxe interiors across a range of high-end residential and commercial projects. Based in Paddington, we have a keen appreciation for design, creativity and aesthetics and take pride in providing our clients with designs tailored to their individual needs and executed to the highest standard.

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about design and is willing to work within a collaborative environment. The role is for a mid to senior Interior Designer that will oversee and facilitate all stages of a project, from concept through to completion. You will be the point of contact for client communication, contractor liaison, ensuring smooth workflow and keeping project schedules on track. You will have excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner. You will be an expert in prioritizing and organizing tasks and will relish the opportunity to get involved in strategic planning, creative thinking and problem solving. Skills and Experience
To be considered for the role, you will have the following:

  • Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in similar role/studio environment
  • Experienced in AutoCad and confident with high-end multi residential interior architecture documentation
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
  • Strong conceptual and presentation design skills
  • Passion for design trends and aesthetics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Strong work ethic and the desire to exceed expectations
  • Self-motivated and autonomous

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing and specifying materials, finishes, furnishings and fittings
  • Preparing design presentations for client
  • Documentation including specifications and schedule
  • Attending site meetings and solving imminent issues with builders
  • Requesting quotes/invoices from suppliers
  • Placing orders on behalf of clients
