We are seeking to introduce a new and dynamic team member to our Sydney team. The position of Marketing & Communications Coordinator is one that requires you to be a multi-tasker and lateral thinker, with demonstrable communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role is preferable. You will be reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager and based at our head office and showroom in Sydney, located at 21-23 Levey Street Chippendale.

PRINCIPLE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, plan and deliver day to day marketing activities, including but not limited to marketing, PR and event coordination for our four showrooms in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Implement marketing plans across all Cult business units to successfully support organisational goals and growth within each corresponding target segment.
  • Manage social media accounts in line with planned marketing campaigns and objectives.

KEY CORPORATE IDENTITY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain all areas of the business that relates to image and client perception; sponsorships, advertising, digital media, public relations and events, ensuring the right message is delivered.
  • Monitor and maintain corporate identity and uniformity in brand message as set out in the ‘Brand Style Guide’, including presentations, tag lines, advertising, campaigns, sales promotions and logo usage, in liaison with external graphics agency.
  • Ensure that the identity of each brand partner is respected within the collection in liaison with four Showroom Managers.

KEY PR & ADVERTISING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key media partners across 5 major publishing houses and a total media database of more than 600 editors/stylists/journalists, etc.
  • Plan and deliver agreed communications strategies to support brand positioning.
  • Initiate and organise media opportunities in line with the marketing strategy.
  • Produce and distribute media kits, press releases, pamphlets, brochures and monthly newsletters. • Develop and maintain relationships with like-minded, non-competing brands in luxury markets; e.g. Kvadrat, Artedomus, Waterford, LVMH, etc.

KEY CAMPAIGN & EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As per marketing plans, develop and implement 10-12 marketing campaigns on a yearly basis. This includes product launches, trade fairs, international designer visits, fundraisers, etc.
  • Understand client and stakeholder needs, experience and behaviours by effectively utilising data including, CRM, web/social analytics, surveys and use the insights to inform marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Maintain relationships with external and internal suppliers to ensure key deliverables are met for funding campaigns and other programs.
  • Work with showroom managers and sales in each location in execution of events at a local level.
  • Effectively monitor campaign and program measures, analytics and insights to deliver value for money in marketing initiatives, drive change and continuous improvement

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrated 2-3 years’ experience in a Marketing Role, with experience in implementing multifaceted marketing and communications strategies across print/digital/social media desirable.
  • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative data analysis to use for relevant marketing initiatives.
  • Understanding of marketing trends and challenges within the design sector.
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or commerce.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office skills (esp. Excel, Word, & Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).

  • A resourceful approach to budget management.
  • High level of attention to detail and aesthetic presentation.
