Marketing and Communications Specialist

Working closely with the Senior Management team, this hands on role is responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining marketing and sales strategies to meet Tait’s organisational and sales objectives. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities whilst assisting and supporting management and sales teams.

Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of the architecture and design industries, a commitment to quality and an enthusiasm for marketing high-end products.

General responsibilities will include:

  • Working with management on strategy, development, implementation and review of a rolling Marketing Plan
  • Develop strategy across all platforms (website, social media, marketing collateral)
  • Managing the development of the annual marketing calendar and execution of marketing plans and budget
  • Plan and oversee the organization’s promotional activities and campaigns
  • Liaise with outside agencies and suppliers to achieve company marketing strategies
  • Working with management to analyse market trends, campaign reports and analytics
  • Responsible for driving communication through EDM campaigns and CRM
  • Developing key relationships with media and managing requests for product loans, images, etc
  • Develop marketing materials including; printed, e-communications, e-newsletters, social media, web-based, media release and promotions

The successful candidate will have:

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • 2 years marketing experience in a similar role
  • Social media and digital marketing experience
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders – media, commercial and retail clients and wholesale distributors
  • Experience in managing digital and print suppliers
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills
  • Development and management of marketing budgets
  • Excellent analytic skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, the ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach
  • Excellent time management and an understanding of the importance of deadlines
  • Located in Australia and with an existing right to work in Australia
  • Passion for the design industry and developing the Tait brand

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience. The position is full-time, (the option of part-time/flexible hours may be considered). The role is based between Tait’s manufacturing HQ in Thornbury and flagship showroom in Fitzroy.
