Industrial Designer

Greg Natale Design

Surry Hills

Greg Natale Design is a multi-disciplinary design practice based in Sydney, Australia.
Founded in 2001 as an interior design practice, the brand now offers comprehensive interior, exterior and decoration services, as well as a rapidly expanding body of luxury homewares, furniture, product and accessory lines.

Named by Architectural Digest Mexico as one of The World’s Top 15 Designers, Greg Natale’s signature style is celebrated internationally. The company is enjoying significant expansion, so we want you to join us in our brand new headquarters in trendy Surry Hills.

We seek an experienced Industrial Designer whose portfolio demonstrates a diverse, polished body of work across interior products and architectural finishes.

As a member of young, energised team, this position reports directly to the Director, working closely with the Marketing and Brand Manager as well as our stable of licensing partners.

The role will require you to work autonomously and in close collaborative situations with external and internal stakeholders. Our studios are a fast-paced, industrious environment – an outgoing positive personality and good people skills must complement a dedication to professional conduct and tasks as well as the ability to respond rapidly to briefs and deadlines.

Our position demands advanced technical skills as much as it does a creative flair. We are looking for that rare, inspiring spark of a candidate who is manufacturing and decoratively attuned.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Industrial Design or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in the development and design of consumer products.
  • Solution focussed and a practical thinker
  • Sound understanding and demonstration of concept-to-production processes, manufacturing techniques and creative problem solving.
  • We require an advanced level of computer literacy and competency in the use of the following software: AutoCAD, 3DS Max, SketchUp, Adobe Suite.
  • You must have PC experience and familiarity with Microsoft office programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications is a benefit.
  • Strong ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people in Australia and abroad.
