We are seeking a meticulous, creative and proactive In-House Architect to develop and enhance store and counter designs whilst adhering to appropriate quality standards. This is a new position that has come about due to organisational growth.

This in-house position will support retail design across Aesop’s global regions by coordinating and ensuring that project outcomes are achieved with aesthetic excellence and in a timely and cost effective manner. To be truly successful in this position you will need to promote new ways of thinking, have a passion for deep design considerations and you will need to be able to nurture and manage partnerships.

This is a permanent full time position reporting through to the Retail Architectural Manager within the Retail Design and Development Team, working out of Aesop’s Head Office in Collingwood.

Who We Are Looking For

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture or Interior Architecture;
  • Proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD, 2D graphic presentation and 3D rendering;
  • A strong understanding of construction methodology and architecture detailing;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills;
  • The ability to multi task and time manage;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • The ability build strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, local authorities and consultants;
  • Confidence in problem solving;
  • The ability to collaborate with team members and the wider business; and
  • A strong work ethic.
