Nestled at the corner of a converted industrial estate in the heart of Sydney’s St Peters, the Temple & Webster office is situated in an immaculately restored heritage listed beautiful art deco building.

Our Trade & Commercial team collaborates with developers, designers, architects and commercial contractors to offer furnishing solutions for office interiors, retail environments, hospitality, residential and commercial fit-outs.

We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated BDM to continue to grow this division. You will need to be enthusiastic, confident and highly professional as well as hold a design qualification and demonstrate a proven sales track record within the Architectural & Decorative market.

Your primary responsibility will be to work on new business prospects and leads, generating contract and trade sales by developing long standing relationships with Interior Designers, Architects, Commercial Contractors and Property Developers.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing bespoke solutions and ranges to fit client’s requirements
  • Preparing client presentations / new business pitches
  • Preparing schedules and quotes for project / tender submissions
  • Directly liaising with high-end clients across all platforms of communication
  • Following up business intelligence leads and contacting key decision makers
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients

You will have:

  • A recognized Interior Design / Decoration qualification
  • A strong passion for the interiors industry
  • A demonstrated understanding of the projects market and strong existing relationships with key developers, architects and designers
  • Ability to identify key decision makers and decision-making processes as they relate to the specification process
  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience in the Architectural & Decorative market with a proven sales record (furniture industry preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
