Must have VECTORWORKS experience
We’re in Alexandria close to coffee, abandoned e-bikes and craft beer. We are clever, calm, focused and (often) funny people who like each other and love the work we do. We are fair and reasonable with each other, our clients and suppliers alike. We are people, who others want to work with.
We will take an interest in you as a Junior Designer with ambition and initiative and not judge you for being a taxidermist, long distance runner or a Bachelorette obsessive. We will support your passions, just as you’ll support ours.
– Young, dynamic, retail focused team based in Alexandria.
– Diverse range of high-profile retail projects.
– Unique, fun and ‘people focused’ company culture.
– Ongoing training & development.
About the business
Black Line Retail knows shops. We love shops. It’s what we do. We provide insightful, efficient and effective solutions for retailers so they can stick to their knitting. We have a growing number of like-minded clients: a glorious mix of local and international brands, start-ups and behemoths and we deliver projects wherever they have customers – Australia, New Zealand, the UK, South Africa and the USA. Our obsessive team of creatives, designers, documenters, project managers and procurement specialists focus simply – generating actions from insight to continually, consistently and compellingly be better.
About the role
We are currently looking for a Junior Designer with at least 2+ years VECTORWORKS experience. You will be working on a number of retail store designs and be keen to learn, expand your skills, act on initiative and do great work!
The successful applicant will possess:
• A degree in design or commensurate professional drafting experience
• The ability to create and produce work of a professional standard
• The ability to think independently and as a part of a team
• Good communication skills
• An eye for detail
Perks and Benefits
Black Line Retail will provide a competitive salary based on experience, an excellent working environment (remember the coffee and the beer) and team culture, a genuine work / life balance and a broad range of interesting and exciting clients and projects.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have a can-do attitude and be ready to contribute in a high functioning team, within a fast-paced office. Juggling competing priorities is important as is your natural ability to “roll with the punches” and stay calm under pressure. Accuracy and diligence in your own work is critical as is the need to recognise what needs to be done and then doing it – initiative is highly regarded.
