Job Description

Indesign Media Asia Pacific is a multi-media business which services the architecture and design community through a suite of events, magazines, digital platforms and TV with offices in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. 

 We are seeking a driven and experienced event marketer to create and execute end – to – end marketing campaigns for our dynamic event portfolio which includes: 

•Saturday Indesign 



•Sustainability Live 

•Sustainability Awards 

This role works closely with the event director as well as other stakeholders in the business including operations, editorial, design, technology and sales. 

With the Event Director, the Event Marketing Manager will develop multichannel marketing strategies and campaign plans to ensure each event delivers business objectives and continues to evolve and thrive. 

 Key responsibilities: 

•Manage and execute all aspects of the marketing plans for each event to drive targeted visitation as well as sales revenue through EDM, Print, digital advertising, website, PR, social media and strategic partnerships 

•Brief Design, PR and other outside agencies as required 

•Project manage internal stakeholders to deliver on campaign plan 

•Coordinate and deliver all marketing and promotional materials, literature and brochures as agreed per marketing plan 

•Control assigned marketing expense budgets for all assigned events 

•Measure effectiveness of marketing and advertising campaigns, recommending modifications where necessary 

•Exercise initiative and creativity in making recommendations for new sales promotion and marketing programs to reach target audience 

•Develop, manage and maintain strong working relationships with strategic event partners including media outlets and associations representing our attendee’s / award entrants / exhibitors / sponsors 

Skills and Experience 

•Strong marketing, project management and communication skills 

•Minimum 3 years’ progressive hands on experience in B2B event marketing 

•Proven ability to create innovative marketing solutions that satisfy stakeholders and meet business unit objectives 

•Ability to plan, prioritise and manage an extensive, multi-layered promotional program is essential 

•Ability to initiate change and recommend best practices ideas to the Event Director 

•Ability to work as part of a team as well as self-motivated to work independently 

•Sense of urgency sufficient to recognise that the need to move quickly is an inherent facet in events 

•Ability to maintain a high level of initiative, enthusiasm and drive through the intense work peaks and troughs of a busy event program 

Qualifications, Expectations & Desirable: 

•Qualification in marketing or relevant applicable experience 

•Ability to analyse and interpret data 

•Highly organised, can multi-task and set priorities to meet deadlines 

•Team player with a positive attitude and flexible mindset 

•Excellent written & verbal communication skills 

•Attention to detail with a high accuracy level 

•Experience in Marketo is essential 

•Experienced in Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

•Experienced in Email Marketing Platforms (MailChimp, Madmimi etc.) 

•Prior experience executing Digital Ad Campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Google)
