About the role – Business Development Manager

We are seeking a passionate Business Development Manager, with a strong work history and experience within the interior design industry, to drive new trade business in NSW as well as mentor the inter State teams in driving new business in their regions. With the growth of the brand over last 10 years, we have established ourselves as a global player in the rug industry with showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, LA and NYC. With ever evolving collections we now have a breadth of product and product offerings for the trade market. These opportunities provide a unique opportunity to communicate the Armadillo & Co of today to both existing and new clients, untapping a wealth of opportunities in the residential and light commercial space.

The position is fulltime, based in our Sydney Flagship Showroom and Head Office (Surry Hills).

Key Responsibilities:

-Analysing market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators

-Actively prospecting new trade clients to grow our business with a key focus on NSW

-Outreach and engagement to new trade clients

-Developing outreach and engagement initiatives for new trade clients

-Establishing & growing trade relationships

-External & internal (showroom) presentations with clients and agencies

-Support the interstate sales teams with new business development – support, coach and mentor

-Training of the sales team with new business presentations and communication

-Interstate travel for on the ground support where required

-Showroom customer service and product presentation for trade clients when required

-Supporting sales and marketing events e.g. networking opportunities, client entertainment, new collection launches, and media and trade events.

About you:

We are searching for a dynamic sales professional, who can demonstrate high levels of:

-Passion for the A&D industry

-Customer focus

-Communication & interpersonal skills

-Agility and time management

-Problem solving

A background in the architecture and design industry is required, along with access to a car in order to undertake client visits. You will also need to be physically capable of lifting samples or rugs with assistance, in accordance with our workplace WH&S policies and processes.
