We have an exciting opportunity available for a go-getter and out-of the box thinker to join our team in the role of Business Development Manager, working alongside the world’s best design brands and Perth’s leading commercial Architecture & Design firms. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to build new business for our company, be focused and able to develop and execute strategies. This role demands a thorough understanding of the design industry and a willingness to develop our brand, reach new clients and engage in the local design community.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will incorporate a full range of business development activities including:

  • Liaise with our suppliers, brands and clients;
  • Proactive pitching of our brand and product portfolio;
  • Actively researching and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients;
  • Delegate, strategise and collaborate within the team to achieve the highest results;
  • Determine client requirements and provide solutions for furniture specifiers;
  • Develop relationships to grow and expand our business;
  • Identify new ideas and opportunities for partnerships and brand development;
  • Create and deliver effective presentations to acquire new business;
  • Work closely with the Director on client activity and updates;
  • Commitment to our company values

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional customer service
  • A genuine interest in design / background in the design industry will be highly regarded
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills
  • Critical thinking abilty
  • Strong time management skills and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable presentation, manners and etiquette
  • A passion to work in and contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic team
  • A client-centric approach
  • Experience working with KPI’s
  • Ability to work in a close-knit team in an open plan office
  • Personable and charismatic
