Job Description

Ross Gardam established the contemporary furniture and lighting studio in 2007 with the aim to create quality, original, accessible design. We offer a collection of internationally acclaimed products, each handcrafted in Melbourne by local artisans and manufacturers. All products are designed by Ross Gardam and embody a unique, modern aesthetic. The studio strives to achieve simplicity and purity in everything we do.

We currently have a full-time opportunity for an Accounts Administrator to join our creative team of professionals in our Brunswick studio. Working with the team you will be responsible for accounts administration for the entire studio as well as account management of key distribution partners. The role may also involve sales support working directly with the senior Sales Executive.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Data Entry
  • Reconciliations in Xero
  • Maintain stock/inventory records from sales and stock take data
  • Management of key distribution accounts including both processing and creating purchase orders
  • Liaising between the team, clients, and suppliers regarding payments and lead-times
  • Working closely with the team to gain an in-depth knowledge of our product range
  • Management Reporting – daily, weekly, monthly
  • Maintain Filing and archive
  • Banking, post, office supplies
  • Sales support administration

Essential criteria and knowledge include:

  • At least 2 years previous experience working in Accounts
  • Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail are key requirements for this role
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have experience with Xero Accounting package
  • Experience in Dear Inventory will be highly regarded
  • Experience working in the design or in the creative industry is highly regarded
  • Be methodical and organised
  • Be able to meet agreed deadlines and have strong time management skills
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Be friendly, helpful, and service-oriented
  • Able to work effectively under minimal supervision in an open plan team environment
